gateway to tibet

Posted on: 4 June 2011

Water canals line the streets in Lijiang Old Town. They’re filled with reeds, and the water is surprisingly clear. I’ve seen people washing their laundry in it.

Tibetan ethnic minorities, traditional handicrafts in the market stalls, ancient stone bridges and open courtyards and sloping grey-tiled roofs.

This place has charm.

And I’m finally hungry again after three days of having no appetite, also a plus.
