not dying, thanks

Posted on: 2 August 2011

I appreciate my immune system. The last time I was sick was in October 2009; I remember this because I had my first voice master class and couldn’t sing.

But we’re looking for a family doctor now. Because, you know, it’s good to have one. And I haven’t for almost a decade, I think. I’ve tried calling two referrals, but the first wasn’t accepting any new patients and the second wasn’t accepting new healthy patients … only those with “a lot of health problems.” (That’s what the receptionist said!)

Then Kevin called my dad, except the way he said things MADE IT SOUND LIKE I HAD SOME DISEASE. And ten minutes later my mom calls back, WORRIED THAT I HAD SOME DISEASE.

I will get him for that.
